The drip irrigation dripper is often called the “heart” of a drip irrigation system. Because drippers are engineered with extremely narrow water pathways to precisely regulate flow rates (typically 1 to 4 liters per hour), they are naturally susceptible to clogging.
If your drippers clog, your plants starve of water, and your crop yields suffer. To protect your investment, you must implement a robust maintenance and filtration strategy.
Understanding what is blocking your emitters is the key to solving the problem:

To ensure your agricultural drip irrigation system operates reliably season after season, follow this maintenance checklist:
1.Inspect Water Filters Weekly:Weekly Routine。
Check the pressure gauges installed before and after the irrigation disc filter or screen filter.If the pressure difference exceeds 5-8 PSI, it is time to backwash or clean the filter elements manually.
2.Regular Lateral Line Flushing:Every 2-4 Weeks。
Open the drip line end caps, then flush each section of the drip tape or drip line until the discharged water runs clear. Turn on the pump and let water run through until it flows crystal clear. This flushes out fine sediments that slipped through the main filters.
3.Clean or Replace Individual Drip Irrigation Drippers:As Needed。
If you are using Take-apart PC Drippers, unscrew the cap, remove the internal silicone diaphragm, wash away any debris under clean water, and reassemble.
4.Seasonal Deep Clean:End of Season。
Before winter or between crop cycles, run an acid wash (using phosphoric or nitric acid) to dissolve scale build-up, followed by a thorough system flush.
